  1. Friday, April 13 is the Downtown Carrollton Chocolate Walk. Stroll around the gazebo and through the shops in historic downtown Carrollton to collect free treats from the participating shops. Free.
  2. This year is the 38th annual Scarborough Renaissance Festival. Each weekend till May 28 features a different theme from this weekend’s Artisan Showcase to Celtic Weekend, Royal Ale Festival, Legends of the Sea and more. Admission $28.
  3. Get boho for the weekend: coming this Saturday, April 14 is The Boho Market at the Dallas Farmers Market. Take a trip downtown and peruse the best makers and small businesses alongside local farmers and vendors. Free.
  4. Wild Detectives in Bishop Arts District is celebrating its 4 year anniversary April 14. The celebration, Wild Beats, is a multi-genre, poly-rhythmic live music fest featuring bands from Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Madrid. Tickets $15.
  5. April 15 at the Deep Ellum Art Co. is the Dallas PizzaFest. Fill up on pizza from more than 20 local and national pizza vendors. There will be a pizza eating contest, live music and a wine and beer garden. Admission $10.
  6. April 13-15 is the 2018 Dallas Art Fair. Located at the Fashion Industry Gallery near the DMA, the fair will feature over 90 national and international art dealers and galleries representing painting, sculpture, photography, video and installation works by modern and contemporary artists. Student tickets $20-40.
