  1. The month long feminist festival Women Galore is hosting an evening at Shoals and Service for Cocktails Galore. May 2 find your favorite female bartenders to concoct delicious cocktails, then stick around for an all-woman line-up of local DJs, Female Treble.
  2. May 3 is the Bishop Arts District Wine Walk where you can sip, shop and stroll through the neighborhood. Tickets include a tasting glass, participant wristband and the list of participating shops and small business. 21+. Tickets $20.
  3. Dallas Fest is May 5 in West End. This all day event showcases the talent of the DFW community. Breweries, media artists, musicians, songwriters and more will be represented all day. Free.  
  4. The iconic musical Les Miserables is in town at Fair Park. Head downtown and take in the barricades, revolutionaries and classic musical theatre score. Performances through May 6. Tickets starting at $25.
  5. The 2018 Dallas International Film Festival is May 3-10. More than 110 films from over 25 countries will be screened including the Fred Rogers documentary, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor.” All access passes available, individual tickets start at $12.
  6. Soul Rep Theatre Company is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their divisive play The Freedmans at the Wyly, mixing true and imagined stories of people interred in the Dallas Freedmans Cemetery, a burial ground for Dallas’ early black population. Showing through May 13. Tickets start at $25.
