A sampling of the best Dallas and Austin artists are gathering for a live painting competition. Paint will be flying at this event that fosters both creativity and community; the winner is chosen by the audience. The artists are battling for a spot in the National Championship later this year in Los Angeles. Entry is $20.
- Halloweekend
The Dallas Zoo is turning spooky for the Halloweekend, Oct. 27 and 28, with a pumpkin patch complete with scarecrows, a hay maze and other family-friendly entertainment and activities. Halloween costumes are encouraged, and there will be a beer garden for ages 21+. Regular admission is $15.
