  1. “Twelfth Night”

“If music be the food of love, play on.” See the well-known Shakespeare comedy, “Twelfth Night,” this week. The play is being put on at Wyly Theatre in the Dallas Arts District. The show closes on April 28. Seat prices start at $17.50.

 

  1. Dallas Comedy Festival 2019

The funniest week of the year has arrived with the Dallas Comedy Festival 2019. Get ready for five days of daily improv and sketches, as more than 200 local and nationally-known comedians take over Deep Ellum at a variety of venues.   1. Frisco Fair

An 11-day spring carnival is coming to Frisco from Thursday, March 28 to Sunday, April 7, offering lots of rides, food and entertainment. Gates open at 5 p.m. The Fair has free admission and is located at the Frisco Fresh Market.

 

  1. “The Taming of the Shrew”

Another beloved Shakespeare classic is being put on at The Stage Door this weekend. Performances are at 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 30 and 31, at The Stage Door in Plano. Tickets are $15.

 

  1. The Shed Sunday Farmers Market

Spend a refreshing Sunday afternoon at an open-air farmers market browsing local produce, goods, and crafts. The farmer’s market is located at The Shed, at 920 S Harwood Street in Dallas, on Sunday, March 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

  1. Festival of Joy

Kalachandji’s and the Crow Museum of Asian Art present the 2nd annual Festival of Joy at Klyde Warren Park this Saturday, March 30, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A parade kicks off the festival at noon, starting at the Dallas Museum of Art and ending at Klyde Warren. There will be music and traditional dance performances, ethnic food stalls, free photo booths and more to celebrate one of India’s ancient festivals.
