  1. State Fair of Texas – For the first time in 134 years, the State Fair of Texas is proud to introduce the Big Tex Fair Food Drive-Thru. This experience will celebrate all things Texan, and will give the opportunity to get your annual taste of the Fair between September 25-27, October 2-4, 9-12 and 16-18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are pre-sold in three entry windows starting at $65 per vehicle.
  2.  Cedar Hill State Park –  Visit Cedar Hill State Park for a day or weekend trip. Bring friends to hike, bike, picnic and nature watch. The park sits on the shore of Joe Pool Lake, so you can also swim, fish and boat or paddle. Open daily 10 a.m.  to 7 p.m. 
  3.  Nasher Sculpture Center – This museum in downtown Dallas is home to modern and contemporary sculptures, including pieces by artists like Matisse, Rodin, and Picasso. Student admission with ID starts at $5.
  4.  Sundown at Granada – Check out a variety of live music at this farm-to-table restaurant every weekend at 3 p.m. while enjoying $10 lunch specials until 4 p.m. and happy hour until 7 p.m. No cover charge for music. Curbside pickup and delivery are also available, along with half-priced bottles of wine.
  5.  The Dallas Aquarium – Experience the abundance of life in the ocean at the Dallas World Aquarium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are available online at $26.95 for adult admission and must be reserved prior to visiting.
  6.  The Dallas Castle – Go back in time with the Medieval Times dinner and tournament. Experience jousting, horsemanship and falconry with a 4-course meal fit for royalty. Adult entry is currently 25% off at $47.22 with code “25MT” at online checkout.
