2. Wizards and Witches Beer Festival – The Wizards Beer Festival is coming to Dallas for a night of magic and mischief on Oct. 3 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. There will be unlimited beer, cider and wine tasting and the magic village shops, full of bewitching vendors, will offer plenty of photo opportunities with fantastical charactersT There will be live music from the RedHead Party Band and DJ DumbelD. 3. Masked Strings – The Orchestra of New Spain will open its 2020-21 season with the sounds of a string orchestra. The concert will feature Arash Noori, a recent addition to the local Early Music scene, on a five-course Spanish guitar in Boccherini’s Guitar Quintet in D Major. The concert will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets at the door start at $10 for students with ID.
4. Drive-Thru Halloween – Get ready for a drive-through Halloween experience taking place each weekend in October in the Silver Garage at American Airlines Center. This will allow guests to celebrate Halloween from the safety of their cars. There will be multiple levels of the garage, each with its own Halloween activities, from traditional trick-or-treating to a haunted carnival. Tickets start at $30 per vehicle.
5. Movies in the Park – Shakespeare Dallas presents an entire month of outdoor Movies in the Park, screening Shakespeare-inspired movies on Thursday evenings, classic films on Fridays and family-friendly favorites on Saturdays. Food will also be available at Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe for most evenings. Advance purchase on Eventbrite is required at $15.
6. Yarn Art – Explore eleven colorfully immersive installations at the Sweet Tooth Hotel in Dallas, created with more than two million feet of yarn. As you walk from room to room, new adventures await you in this exhibit created by some of the top female fiber artists in the nation. There is also an outdoor café with sweet drinks and cocktails. Tickets start at $17 with a student ID through the month of October.
