  1. Frights ‘n Lights. Get ready for Halloween with thousands of intricately carved, brightly lit jack-o’-lanterns, lots of photo ops and a creepy cast of lantern light from over-sized lanterns. This event will run on select dates between Oct. 2-Nov. 6. Admission starts at $24.99 for adults and $19.99 for children.
  2. Pink Floyd Laser Show. Experience Pink Floyd in concert quality sound and get carried away by cutting-edge effects in a fully immersive experience with a spectacular light show. This show will be at the Texas Trust CU Theatre on Oct. 8. Tickets start at $15.
  3. Classic Spooky Movies. The Palace Theatre presents classic movie screenings every weekend. On Oct. 8, they will be showing “Beetlejuice,” and on Oct. 9, they will be showing both “Dracula” and “Young Frankenstein. Guests can also bring in a same-day receipt from any Grapevine restaurant and get a free popcorn at the concession stand. Tickets are $6. 
  4.  Dallas International Film Festival. Dallas and the world come together to celebrate film and filmmakers at the Dallas International Film Festival. It will include more than 30 feature and short films over three days this weekend Oct. 8-10. Wes Anderson’s “The French Dispatch,” a love letter to journalists, will be the opening-night film. It features Timothée Chalamet, Owen Wilson, Léa Seydoux, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, and more. Admission is between $10 and $15 per screening. 
  5.  Fine Arts Chamber Players. The Hallam Family Concerts are free chamber music performances showcasing Dallas’ top professional musicians. On Oct. 9, “Ascents and Descendants” will be held at Central Commons. This will be an exploration from the 12th to 21st century, tracing the musical lineage of Hildegard von Bingen, Maurice Ravel and Christopher Rouse. Admission is free.
  6. J&F Haunted House. Take a trip to a haunted house maze and prepare for the most intense scares. The J&F House of Terror takes inspiration from urban legends and sets the mood for Halloween. Admission starts at $22. Get your tickets for select dates between Oct. 8-Oct. 31.
