Mall Mosh Pit. A new tradition will begin on Friday: Music on the Mall has undergone permanent changes so prepare to have trap music blasted all day! (Clean versions only, of course.) Begins at 7 a.m. and ends at 8 p.m. when the Tower bells will be synced to the beat drop. Student DJs will take song requests as long as you have good taste and in-depth knowledge of Skrillex.
Bungee Jump from the Tower. Join the Physics Club, led by Dr. Olenick, as they test out an undisclosed experiment involving students and bungee ropes. Bungees will be provided. Bring your birth certificate, insurance cards and student IDs to sign a liability waiver. And BYOLC (bring your own liquid courage)! Begins at noon on Saturday.
Tightrope Walk. At 1 p.m. on Saturday, Venture Club will be leading a tightrope-walking extravaganza across the beams of third floor Braniff!They have yet to confirm the presence of safety nets but rest assured the event will take place regardless. Admission is free!
Picnic at PDK. Bring blankets and tablecloths to spread out in the PDK parking lot all-day Sunday. Enjoy the fresh aromas of gasoline and spilled White Claw to witness the sight of hungover students as they trudge across Northgate. Raj will be having a super-sale on bakery and produce items in honor of their expiration dates. Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Spelunking at the Braniff Cave. Join famed outdoorswoman Dr. Waterman Ward for an all-access caving experience underneath the Braniff building! Groups of students will be led from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Bring your own headlamps and prepare to see the Eighth Wonder of the World, right in our own backyard!
Scuba in the Condo Pool. Drown your sorrows and take a dive off the deep end! Senior John Paul St. Joseph and his fianceé Mary Catherine Martha will be instructing students in the fine art of scuba diving beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday. Bring your flippers and goggles, air tanks and Busch will be provided. There will be a future scuba session in the Madonna pond, keep your eyes peeled for upcoming information!
