The Frisco Fair – Get ready for summer at the Frisco Fair! Featuring over 80 rides, games, music, food and art, visitors can enjoy classic fair food like Fletcher’s famous corny dogs, and there will also be a new Taste of Frisco area, featuring food from local chefs and restaurants.The fair is free to enter. Rides and food require tickets that can be pre-purchased or purchased at the fair. It will run from May 1-15.
Dallas Symphony Orchestra – Star Wars fans, get ready to experience the sixth episode of the Star Wars saga in a new way. Watch Darth Vader as he readies the second Death Star to unleash the final blow to the Rebel Alliance. Watch the complete film unfold as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra performs John Williams’ score live. Performances will be held May 6-8. Tickets start at $46.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream Ballet – The Texas Ballet Theater will finish its season with the world premiere of Ben Stevenson’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Performances will be held May 6-8. Tickets start at $20.
Coldplay – World renown band Coldplay comes back to Dallas in support of their new album, “Music Of The Spheres.” They’ll be joined by special guest H.E.R. Don’t miss out on hearing Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin’s voice live! They will perform on May 6 and tickets start at $55.
Art Festival – Cottonwood Art Festival features works from the nation’s top visual artists. Over 1,400 artists submitted their work for consideration. The artists compete in 14 categories: 2D Mixed Media, 3D Mixed Media, Ceramics, Digital, Drawings/Pastels, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metalwork, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Wood. The festival also features local rock, country, jazz, blues, swing and folk. Admission is free. The festival will be held May 7-8.
Dallas Bites and Sights Tour – During the Taste of Bishop Arts Tour, guests can sample the charm of the Bishop Arts District, stopping at the Best BBQ in Dallas, a Bonnie & Clyde shrine/restaurant and more. Tickets are $53. The next tour is on May 8.
