Dallas Symphony Orchestra – The DSO will be hosting a performance by Cherry Rhodes, the first American to win an international organ competition in Munich. She has toured extensively through major music capitals of America, Europe, and Asia. This concert will be on Sept. 25 at 3 p.m. at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, and tickets are $25.
Margarita Festival – Calling all margarita lovers! The Irving Margarita Festival will include live music, 10 Margarita booths, street tacos, food trucks, frozen drinks, a trip giveaway to Mexico, and more! The event will be held at the Toyota Music Factory on Sept. 24, admission starts at $20.
Hamlet – Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” recounts the tale of young Hamlet dealing with madness, revenge, death, and the downfall of the kingdom. Performances will be held Sept. 22-Oct. 15 at the Samuell-Grand Amphitheater. General admission starts at $20.
Fiber Art Fest – The DFW Fiber Fest is a celebration of knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, and more. Stop by and see over 90 fiber arts vendors with hand-dyed yarns, roving, crafting tools and project bags. This will be held from Sept. 22-24 at the Irving Convention center. Admission is free.
Hot Air Balloon Festival – The Plano Balloon Festival is an outdoor event that offers something for everyone, such as a show by the Texas parachute team, hot air balloons, concerts, fireworks and a variety of foods. There will also be a half marathon, relay, 5K run/walk and 1-mile Fun Run. This will be Sept. 22-25, admission is $10.
Farmer’s Market – White Rock Farmers Market is dedicated to spotlighting local produce, meats, eggs, bread, pastries, jams, specialty foods as well as local artisans with handcrafted goods, all made by North Texas vendors. This is held every Saturday, the next one is Sept. 24. Admission is free.
