As seen in last week’s email from Dr. Gregory Roper, dean of students, Executive Council Elections are coming up! Seniors John Frank, Hannah Wilmes and Liliana Bitter are happy to have served, as is your own president, who will be spending her senior year in other ways.
Elections for president, vice president, secretary and treasurer will take place from April 28th through April 29th, and keep your eye out for campaigning that begins the 25th.
As the academic year comes to a close, Student Government is finishing strong with two more Sunday Sundaes hosted by the Crusader Outreach Committee. Thanks to the leadership of senior Senator Harrison Vetter, SG hosted its first “Ivory Tower Happy Hour,” a social hour for the undergraduate student body spent mingling with President Sanford, Provost Vorwerk and their colleagues. Sanford reiterated his appreciation for students’ sense of “whimsy,” an attribute that the Senate has encouraged through their allocations funding Classics panels, school-wide Olympics and Cap Houses.
From the office of the SG President, it has been an honor and privilege to work with all of you this past year. I’m grateful to the outstanding Senate, who has really done the heavy lifting.
I look forward to the accomplishments of rising student leaders. From the Student Government Executive Council, love ye, UD.
