  1. Live Jazz and R&B – Enjoy the smooth and romantic sounds of live jazz and R&B, as singer Parsa takes the audience through her setlist featuring Frank Ocean, Chris Stapleton and more. This will be at Chocolate Secrets on April 21, and every Friday at 7:30 pm, admission is free! 
  2. Dallas Contemporary – Dallas Contemporary will be hosting an opening celebration for their spring exhibition. ”Cerámica suro” is the first comprehensive presentation of the private collection of José Noé Suro, owner of the influential Guadalajara-based ceramics studio Cerámica Suro. ”This must be the place” by artist Eduardo Sarabia evokes the history of the traditional Mexican hacienda to explore notions of home and heritage. There will be complimentary drinks for those 21+, and music while guests view the exhibitions. This will be held at 7pm April 19th, with free admission. 
  3. Abstract Painting Exhibition – Various Small Fires presents “O Nobile Viridity” by Los Angeles artist Caitlin Lonegan. The exhibition features new paintings continuing her ongoing exploration of communication through abstract painting. There will be an opening reception on April 21 at VSF. Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through May 27. Admission is free. 
  4. Bring Your Own Vinyl – CANVAS Hotel Dallas will be hosting “Bring your own vinyl” at the Gallery Rooftop Lounge from 3pm to 8pm on April 23. Come enjoy your favorite albums and a view of the skyline. Admission is free.
  5. Dance in the Park – In honor of Dallas Arts Month, join other dancers in Sammons Park on Saturday mornings at 10 am in April for a month long celebration of dance. Learn about different styles of dance from instructors representing some of the most dynamic performing arts companies in Dallas. These classes are free! On April 22, Texas Ballet Theater will be hosting a ballet class as a part of the series. All experience levels are welcome.
  6. 1999 the Legacy of Prince – If you’re a long-time Prince fan, put on your best purple outfit and get ready for a nostalgic and spectacular live performance by 1999 The Legacy of Prince! Sing along to Prince’s iconic songs recreated by passionate performers.  This event will be held at Dave and Busters on April 21. Admission is free with an RSVP.
