  1. Arny Nadler: Sculptures and Other Works is a free art exhibit that shows the art of Nadler’s ongoing series called Firstling. It is located in the Art History building from October 28th until November 7th, open from 10 am until 5 pm.
  1. On October 30, UD is holding its 4th annual Big Bike Build. Help build bikes for underprivileged children at the Braniff Memorial Tower from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm. Admission is free and all materials and instructions will be provided on site. 
  1. First Fridays in Deep Ellum is happening November 1st with a Day of the Dead celebration from 6pm until 10pm. There will be a performative dance followed by a live Mariachi band performance.  The night will end with a public ofrenda where community members are encouraged to leave photos of their own passed relatives.   1. Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) is having one of its Walk like MADD events November 2nd from 9 am until 1 pm at Levy Event Plaza, 501 E. Las Colinas Blvd, Irving, TX 75039. Walk like MADD is an event to raise awareness and funds to end drunk driving. Visit their website walklikemadd.org to register.
  1. November 2nd from 2pm until 10pm is the Las Colinas Day of the Dead Canalside Celebration. Admission is free, so come and enjoy an authentic Day of the Dead experience with a Mexican market, live music and more. It is located at Mandalay Canal Walk at Las Colinas 215 Mandalay Canal, Irving, TX 75039.
  1. On November 3rd from 3pm till 4pm there will be free tours of a historic Texas house that has been recognized as a Texas Historical Landmark.
