1. Pumpkin Nights in Arlington, Sep. 19–Oct. 31st.

Do you want to see 7,500 glowing pumpkins set up across various themed trails? This popular event is back in DFW, and tickets are finally on sale at pumpkinnights.com

2. Ice skating at the Galleria Mall, open year-round.

Not only is the Galleria Mall relatively close by, but its ice rink is one of the most popular spots in all of Dallas.

3. Autumn at the Arboretum, Sep. 19–Nov. 1.

Get tickets to see a gorgeous autumn harvest display of over 100,000 gourds at the Dallas Arboretum with a group of friends.

4. Fall Neighborhood Crawl.

As soon as the leaves start to turn, pick a Saturday morning to grab a pumpkin latte and a crepe from Sweet Paris on 5290 Belt Line Road, then drive a few minutes to Old East Dallas, where you’ll find historic houses with stained glass, brick, crawling vines and spacious front porches.

5. Cutting Edge Haunted House, Oct.

2026. Are you feeling ready for a scare? This four-time Guinness World Record-breaking haunted house is ready for you. Voted best haunted house by USA Today, it’s one of the world’s longest walkable scare attractions. Open most Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights in October.

6. State Fair of Texas, Sept. 25–Oct. 18, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

The Texas State Fair is one of Dallas’ staples. Whether it’s going to a music hall, visiting the petting zoo or even test-driving the latest Chevy models, dozens of events will have something in store for you!

7. Bird’s Fort Trail Park.

Catch a break from your studies to see the changing fall colors on this trail and explore over 58 acres of nature.

8. Yesterland Farm, Sep. 19–Nov. 8

If you’re a fan of all things retro, then you need to take a day trip to this vintage amusement park for fall games, attractions and rides.

9. Cinnamon rolls for everyone!

Perfect for after Mass or a lazy fall afternoon, grab some friends and drive over to Unrefined Bakery for dedicated gluten-free fall treats. If allergies aren’t a problem, then Kessler Baking Studio has giant, shareable cinnamon rolls for you and a date.

10. Dallas Zoo Safari Night, Oct. 3, 4:30-9p.m.

The night begins with zookeeper chats, and then at 7 p.m. there will be live music centered around 90s hits! The perfect choice for those who love music and animals.
