  1. Día de los Muertos Celebración – The Hughes Family Tribute Center presents its ninth Día de los Muertos Celebración. The celebración builds on this tradition by hosting an event featuring an art installation, a visual art exhibition, dance performances by Grupo Pakal specializing in Mayan dance presentations, live mariachi music, family art activities, children’s entertainment and food and beverage concessions. These celebrations will last from Nov 1 – 5. Admission is free.
  2. Dallas Opera – In “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly,” a journalist awakes from a coma unable to move or speak, yet his mind is as brilliant as ever, and with the help of his assistant, he creates his memoir. This is a world premiere production from the composer of Everest. Tickets start at $15. There will be productions until Nov. 11.
  3. The Nazarene – Travel back 2,000 years to the sights and sounds of ancient Israel, which come alive through portrayals of the most significant events from Jesus’ life. The exhibition has 19 scenes, featuring 3D set designs, lighting and sound that will immerse visitors in scenes from the New Testament. Admission is $34.50. This exhibition will be up until Jan. 7, 2024.
  4. Arlington Museum of Art – AMA presents the iconic prints of Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada, as well as contemporary works inspired by his legacy. The exhibition, which is on loan from the Posada Art Foundation, will include original broadsheets, pamphlets, printing plates, books, game boards and engravings designed by the legendary printmaker and engraver. Admission starts at $5 and the exhibit will be up until Jan. 7, 2024.
  5. Samuel Lynne Galleries – Join the gallery in welcoming and celebrating David Yarrow, a photographer whose work has captured the energy of our beloved cities in his ground-breaking photos. The opening reception will be held on Nov. 4. Admission is free. 6. Dallas Symphony Orchestra – Violinist Maxim Vengerov wows audiences with Brahms’ Violin Concerto that has inspired the admiration and awe of audiences for well over a century. Performances will be Nov. 3 – 5. Tickets start at $43.
